We were pleased to see that a recent project in Palm Springs got some much-deserved media attention. An article in San Francisco Cottages & Gardens highlighted a home that was built for noted San Francisco interior designer Martha Angus using our frame system in the desert community. The sleek home was designed by one of the leading modernist architects practicing today — Jennings Jim Architecture (also of San Francisco). And as the article illustrates, the house gave Martha the perfect showcase for a flight of wonderfully whimsical design sensibility. If you can’t have fun in Palm Springs, where CAN you?!

One of our favorite architects is San Francisco-based Jennings Jim Architecture.

Jim has designed five projects using our steel frame system. We were delighted to learn that Jim was recently elected to The American Institute of Architects College of Fellows. The honor came with this citation:

For four decades, Jim Jennings has consistently produced buildings of unwaveringly elegant craft and expression that integrate form, detail, light and landscape into a signature modernist architecture.

Bravo Jim!

Below is Jim’s Carmel Valley Residence which utilized our frame system throughout. The house was named a Record House by Architectural Record magazine in 2015.
