This past Monday, FFA students competed at the State Horse Evaluation Contest in Norfolk, Nebraska!

Students Josie J., Lydia V.M., Sydney W. and Madeline W. placed first overall and qualified for Nationals! They will compete in October and represent Nebraska. 🐾

Over the past couple years, we have employed some of our high school students to work in our before and after-school rec program alongside Ms. Shonna. (Not pictured: Kailey D.)

Although they will not be working in rec next school year, they will still be around Bennet Elementary in different positions. 🐾

Earlier this year, the sixth graders read the book, Wonder, and learned what a precept was - a life motto or words of inspiration to live by.

Mrs. Malone had the students come up with their own precepts and they turned them into a book. (Technically, this makes them all published authors now 😜)

Each book was able to be dedicated to someone and the classes immediately chose to dedicate them to Charlie Kohl and his family.

Today the Kohl Family came to Palmyra for Mrs. Malone and her sixth grade classes to present the books to them as a way to show their continued thoughts and support for the family. 🐾💙

PHS sent Tracksters off to Omaha with the Panther Walk of Champiors and a short pep rally in the commons.   Go Panthers!

Grade Five Graduation

It's a day late (due to storms), but a great day for fifth grade. Our Bennet leaders will meet with family and friends this afternoon to celebrate the graduation into middle school.   Congratulations!
