Hi friends. Paradise Chocolate Fest Queen Candidates will be in the Gold Nugget Parade tomorrow. I will be selling Steve Ferchaud coloring page for $5 each. I will also have Chocolate Festival tickets if you would like to purchase them early. All proceeds go to supporting the Paradise Library. Hope to see you there 🥰

Hi Friends. We had our quarterly Library Advisory Meeting Wednesday at the Paradise Library. It was well attended by staff, Paradise Friends of the Library, Butte County Supervisor Doug Teeter, and the wonderful artist of our Nursery Rhyme themed mural Steve Ferchaud. I did a mini dedication that was recorded and hopefully I will be able to view soon. I was definitely choked up a handful of times as this mural has been a long time coming. I dedicated it to my Aunt Charlotte aka Aunt Cookie (Julianna Beckmann Gosling, Cynthia Gosling, Stephanie Gosling, Geo Gosling) and Judy Leigh Winder, a beautiful volunteer that we lost last year. Mother Goose is based on Judy and the little boy is based on one of our wonderful patrons Carter Angus. I did write a letter explaining all of this that I will send to my Aunt, of couse with photos 🥰 Thank you so much to all that attended and of course thank you to Steve for working tirelessly to accomplish this vision.

We have our monthly Book Sale tomorrow, Saturday April 18, 2026, 10 am to 2 pm, with our proceeds going to the Paradise Chocolate Fest coming up May 9, 2026. We will be selling a coloring page of this mural for $5. Proceeds go to supporting our local library! I will be dressed in my Alice in Wonderland themed attire. Come by for a photo 📸

🍫Come enjoy Chocolate Pancakes this Saturday, 9 am, Veteran's Hall, here in Paradise to support Paradise Friends of the Library which supports our Paradise library! $10 a plate! Hopefully it doesn't sell out! If you want to make it, please let us know. Limited tickets! Thank you for all your support.

Friends! 📍We are in need of children's and western books. 📚 The library takes donations every day they are open. General hours are 10-5 pm. Thursday is the late day 12 pm to 8 pm. Closed Sunday, Monday. Paradise Friends of the Library is in the Emma Blackburn Meeting Room, in the big room, Thursday's from 1 pm to 3 pm sorting and organizing. We would love to see you! Thank you in advance for all the support!

Friends. I made a mistake.

When I make our booksale calendars every year, I look at the weeks and I input the third weekend for our sale. I've received a few phone calls this week asking if there was a booksale and I said no. By the third phone call, I looked into what I did.

In the digital format, I look at the calendar, I look to the right, and count down three. I saw the 7th, the 14th, and then 21st. I inputed the 21st for our sale. This month actually started on a Sunday on the same physical digital line as the second weekend, the first Saturday.

So this is the third weekend as I always comment and tell people but it is not the third Saturday. Our Booksale this month, AND MARCH AND NOVEMBER fall on the third Saturday, the 21st. I apologize for the confusion. I will bring this up to the Board and decide if we should change our wording to third Saturday of the month.

💕THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU💕

We had a wonderful sale today. We were busy from beginning till end. All proceeds go towards supporting our Paradise Library.

We want to say a very heartfelt thank you to our very loyal customers but we want to also say thank you and welcome to our new customers. We wouldn't be here without all of you and the library wouldn't do as much as we do without YOU, our customers, as well as the continuous donations.

We wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! See you all in January!

TOMORROW Saturday December 20th is the last Paradise Friends of the Library Booksale of 2025. We will have a table of great books that we thought might be nice as Christmas gifts. We have a whole table of Christmas books and music. We will have our overflow sale inside due to weather. We will also have a wrapping station so you will be ready for Christmas. We open at 10 am at the Paradise Library.
