Here is the link to KSDK's "Spotlight on Service" segment on Sgt. Darrell S. Cole. We are grateful to KSDK's anchor Steve Savard for his commitment to honoring our veterans, and for the passion with which he both pursued and then told this story of a true American hero.

We are continuing to work on a museum here at CMS to honor Sgt Cole, and our staff is excited to use it to both inspire and educate our students! We are also eager to share it with our entire community once it is completed in the coming weeks.

We are planning an official dedication in April, and our vision and plans for this are big. We cannot wait to share it all with our students and community!

Town of Park Hills is looking to build a museum for Medal of Honor recipient Darrell Cole for his heroics on Iwo Jima during World War 2.

Esther High School graduate and World War II hero Darrell S. Cole will be featured on KSDK Channel 5 on their Thursday, August 20th, “Spotlight on Service” segment!

There will be a preview on the 5:00 PM broadcast, and then the full segment will air on the 6:00 PM newscast. KSDK’s news anchor, Steve Savard, came here to CMS last week and filmed the segment.

We are excited that Darrell Cole will be rightly honored on the broadcast, and also that our district will receive this positive recognition!
