Today is Primary Election Day!

While Jimmy Hansen is not on today’s ballot, we encourage everyone in Hubbard County to stay informed and take part in the election process. The election for Hubbard County Sheriff is nonpartisan and will be decided in the November general election.

We’ve got a great community!

The Park Rapids Fire Department Relief Association would like to thank all of you who so generously contributed to the purchase of a drone. We have enough funds donated, and we will be ordering the drone in the next few days!
We can’t thank you enough, the safety and efficiency that this technology will bring to Hubbard County emergency service organizations is something we look forward to training on and putting in service!

⚠️ SEVERE WEATHER — HUBBARD COUNTY

We definitely need the rain, but it looks like it may come with some severe weather this evening. Strong storms could bring damaging winds, large hail and the possibility of tornadoes.

Please stay weather aware, have a way to receive warnings, and check on family, friends and neighbors.

Here’s hoping for some much-needed rain without the severe stuff! Stay safe, Hubbard County!

With how dry conditions are right now, something as simple as a dragging trailer chain can spark a grass fire very quickly. Please take an extra minute to check your chains and equipment before heading down the road.

Thank you to our local firefighters and first responders for responding quickly and helping keep our communities safe. We appreciate all you do!

Please be careful out there, Hubbard County—and help spread the word.

We need your help!
Conditions are very dry. Your Park Rapids FF’s were dispatched today to another grass fire in the ditch. There were at least two separate fires and possibly three origins.
You can help mitigate these types of fires by making sure your chains cannot drag on a trailer, etc.
In this case there was a structure in close proximity, but thankfully not threatened.

Signs, conversations, and some pretty great helpers! ❤️🤍💙

Yesterday, Jimmy and Sarah were out putting up signs and had the chance to meet and visit with so many wonderful people across Hubbard County. Jimmy, Sarah, and a few of our campaign teammates have been busy delivering signs as requests continue to come in from around the county — and we are so grateful for every one.

But it’s about so much more than putting a sign in the ground.

It’s the conversations along the way. It’s hearing from people about what matters to them. It’s shaking hands, sharing stories, and getting to know the people who make up this county.

And yesterday, Jimmy even had a couple of pretty great little helpers! Their parents chose to show their support with a BIG Jimmy sign on their property, and these two were happy to lend a hand. 😊

Because at the end of the day, this campaign isn’t built on signs.

It’s built on people. It’s built on community. And it’s built one conversation at a time.
