Good morning, Parma! We’re closing out August and heading into Labor Day weekend with some terrific cultural celebrations right here in our community. This week’s highlights include two major ethnic festivals, an open public meeting at City Hall, and activities for Parma’s seniors.

Parma’s Ukrainian heritage will be on full display this Labor Day weekend! St. Andrew’s annual festival features traditional Ukrainian food and homemade baked goods, live music and performances, vendors, children’s activities and more.

🇭🇺 70TH ANNUAL HUNGARIAN FESTIVAL

📅 Sunday, September 6
⏰ 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
📍 German Central Organization, 7863 York Road

This is a big one! Ohio’s largest Hungarian festival celebrates its 70th year while also recognizing 75 years of Hungarian scouting in Greater Cleveland.

The day includes Hungarian food, live music, folk dancers and dance lessons, children’s activities, folk arts and crafts, a book fair and much more. The flag-raising begins at 10:30 AM, with food service beginning at noon. Admission is $12, with children under 10 free, and parking is free.
