My vision is to ensure Franklin County government is as small and efficient as possible, and only big enough to meet the critical citizen needs for public safety, roads and other essential county services. My philosophy is simple, county government's only legitimate role is to serve the interests of our citizens. It specifically must not be allowed to intrude on the Constitutional (state and feder
al) rights of our citizens, nor should we try to make it all things to all people. My fellow Commissioners and I have cut county spending, instituted sound fiscal policies, created an essential emergency reserve fund, cut travel costs, reduced the size of county government, frozen Commissioner pay for the past four years, and eliminated unnecessary county spending. I strongly support quality education with schools funded by the entire community, without "impact fees" that unfairly overtax selected home buyers. I believe we need to protect private landowners from excessive environmental regulation, increase industrial development to reduce taxes on residential homeowners, and provide legal options for farm workers to ensure we have the workforce necessary to support our agricultural economy. My wife and I have spent several years faithfully restoring the Moore Mansion in Pasco. We enjoy hosting community events at our historic home and property. Prior to becoming a County Commissioner I worked six years in commercial nuclear power generation, as well as wind, solar and hydro power projects. Education:
