I was so happy to join our community to celebrate the retirement of Detective Lieutenant Sharon Easton-Lassiter. Sharon is also the First Lady of Historic Calvary Baptist Church alongside her husband, Rev. Dr. Randall Lassiter, and is widely recognized for her commitment to mentoring young people. I was honored to present her with an official Congressional Record statement marking her decades of service in the Police Department. Thank you Sharon!

Today at our hearing I grilled the Homeland Security Secretary on increasing health access at Delaney Hall and promising he would not halt international flights at Newark Airport before the World Cup. He refused to give assurances on either. That is outrageous and unacceptable.
