When you trust in God you trust in the JOURNEY & the DESTINATION. I’m forever grateful for my family & friends & community members for opening up their doors, hearts & minds to me during this campaign.

I pray I’ve made an impact on what politics SHOULD be like. Informed, passionate, educated, involved, compassionate, energetic & invested.

Grateful for this adventure. For now, I’ll give my mind & body the rest & healing it deserves, cook a lot, play with my kids, bake, exercise, work, etc.

The people of St. Mary Parish deserve so much more than we’ve been getting. Praying for true leadership in our communities & in our local government

A better St. Mary Parish is possible!

TODAY IS ELECTION DAY! Do the thing, y’all! Local Politics MATTERS. The right to vote isn’t something that we have been given. It is something we have WORKED FOR! Blood, sweat & tears have been shed for. It’s easy. It’s fast. It’s the right thing to do!

Me & my 2 oldest boys joined in the Patterson 5K Run/Walk to kick off today’s Main Street Festival.

Prayers, meditation, deep breaths & the beauty of this community & the people is exactly what we needed to start this day.

Hanging out at the Patterson Community Center for the city of Patterson’s Business After Hours to kick off the Main Street Festival! This community center was previously Patterson Junior High and was Patterson High prior to that! So much history in these halls for myself and all of Patterson AND actually where Lyle & I met in Junior High & started dating!

So much history & so much fun!

ELECTIION DAY INFO! Please read!

St Mary Parish Registrar of Voters Terri Foulcard issued a few reminders in advance of Saturday Oct 14th, Election Day:

(1) Polls open at 7 a.m. for SATURDAY elections. Polls close at 8 p.m.

(2) All voters in line at 8 p.m. have the right to vote.

(3) Be prepared to show a photo identification card with your photo and signature or a United States military identification card that contains your name and picture when voting.

(4) If you do not have a photo ID, you may obtain a free Louisiana special identification card by presenting your voter registration information card to the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV) or you may vote by affidavit after correctly answering identifying information before voting.

(5) Voters who are unable to read or who are disabled, including physical disability or visual impairment, are able to vote with assistance.

(6) When voting, never wear, hand out, or display anything advocating for or against any candidate, proposition, or political party appearing on the ballot in the election. All polling places have a 600 foot campaign free zone.
