November is Military Family Appreciation, and we received sponsorship from Navy League to have a free movie for all military connected families!

Military Family Appreciation FREE Movie on Saturday, 8 November from 1230-1530! The family friendly movie is Elio. Free small popcorn and drinks while supplies last!

Spaces are still available for the bus trip to Naval Station Norfolk to see Jelly Roll with special guest Gwen Stefani on Oct. 16 🤩 🎤🎶

Pax River MWR will be taking a charter bus to Norfolk to see this FREE concert! The price for bus transportation is FREE for E1-E6 and $25 per person for all other DoW card holders. Contractors are not eligible for this event.

The bus will depart from NAS Patuxent River at noon on Oct. 16 and will return between 2-3 a.m. on Oct. 17.

MWR Community Recreation has a BOO-tiful new DIY take-home craft 🎃👻

Each craft kit is $30 & comes with everything you need to create THREE Halloween yard stakes:
⚫ Wooden cutouts & stakes
🟠 Paint
⚫ Brushes
🟠 Stencils

Order in person at the Community Recreation Office by Sept. 30 - kits will be available to pick up on Oct. 2.

SMCDC and SMCHD are partnering for the upcoming Great Mills Road Community Clean Up Day!

Help us and our To***co Program on October 4 as we take on cigarette litter. An estimated 9.7 billion cigarette butts are littered annually in the U.S, and the plastic fibers in ci******es are non-biodegradable, meaning they never decompose. Let's clean up to grow a more beautiful, safer, and healthier community!
