Rep. Lombardo files Children Born Alive Protection Act.
Planned Parenthood and their culture-of-death cadre of legislators on Beacon Hill may have won the Infanticide battle, but the fight for life and to repeal their inhumane Infanticide Act continues!
Representative Marc Lombardo (R-Billerica) has filed the Children Born Alive Protection Act, currently numbered HD 1570.
Recall that the the Infanticide Act, among other things:
removes the requirement that doctors save a baby born alive during a botched abortion; lowered the age that a girl could get an abortion without parental consent from 18 to 16
allows less qualified physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and midwives to perform abortions up to 24 weeks;
allows late-term abortions up to birth.
If passed, the Children Born Alive Protection Act would:
restore the requirement that a doctor take all reasonable steps to save the life of a baby born alive during a botched abortion;
restore the age of consent to 18; restore the requirement that all abortions be performed by a doctor and not allow physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and midwives to perform abortions.
Imagine having to file a bill and fight for a law that requires a doctor to save a baby who has been born!
But that's what we have to do to save these innocent babies from these immoral laws passed by the Planned-Parenthood-backed legislators.
Representative Joe McKenna also filed legislation to Defund Planned Parenthood, HD 67. This would prevent any state funds from going to Planned Parenthood because of its alleged involvement in the sale of baby body parts.
