Northern Gila County Firefighters

During the recent snow storm, our members were asked to go above and beyond the normal call of duty. Our amazing business community in the Rim Country also recognized their dedication to duty and gave them a gift package.
The department asked your firefighters to leave their families, their warm beds, their comforts of home and man a station with no beds, no entertainment except each other during the downtime, limited heat and a severe storm. They did it willingly to support their community. Clearing driveways to ensure emergency apparatus could respond, assisting the community in any way they could, and being a place people could go if needed. 2 members of our union Dustin Marsh and Brian Wiggins as well as 2 reserve firefighters from Hellsgate Fire, Ilyas Sekandari and Wrigley Harper stepped up.
Our business in the Rim also stepped up to show their appreciation. A free haircut from JJ's barbershop, coffee from Starbucks, coffee from Dutch Bros, dinner at Chilis, dinner at Native, dinner at Culvers, dinner at Pizza Faotory, tickets to Sawmill Theater, and tickets to the U2 cover band and dinner at the Mazatzall Casino. Thank you everyone for supporting the people that support you.

Today we laid to rest our friend and our esteemed Mayor. Thank you for your service to our community and we hope to honor your tradition and example by serving the people you leave behind in our care. Thank you, sir, for all you taught us about serving others.

We are honored to assist with laying to rest a great man tomorrow. Mayor McDaniel was a friend to everyone of us, performed most of our marriages, honored us with being a friend and a mentor. Today we prepare our flags and our best dress uniforms to give you the respect you deserve, sir. Thank you and you will be missed.

Rim Country Firefighters had a busy weekend with the storm. As the weather cleared and people ventured out, our resources were stretched thin. But our community responders pulled together to help each other provide for everyone's safety

Your Firefighters Supporting the MDA again this year! The planning event was a great success and Northern Gila County FFs set our goal as $3000. If you want to support our efforts, stay tuned for event dates and locations as we help to extinguish this disease that affects a quarter million people in the US alone
