We support the health readiness of operating forces and shore command stakeholders in the Pacific Theater through specialized public health and preventive medicine services. NEPMU-6 provides force health protection and risk mitigation capacities to U.S. Pacific Command and its service components, particularly the U.S. In addition, NEPMU-6 exports its expertise as part of the PACOM Theater Security

Cooperation mission to maintain phase zero in an area of responsibility stretching from Hawai’i to South Asia that includes half the world’s population.

NEPMU 6, JBPHH, HI (September 19, 2025) - NEPMU 6 OIC CAPT Dunn (right) accepted a gift commemorating a visit from Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin (left) on behalf of NEPMU 6. The purpose of the visit from the Indian Armed Forces Medical Delegation was to strengthen military medical relationships and interoperability through engagements with senior medical leaders.

NEPMU 6, JBPHH HI (10 January 2025). Proud moment for NEPMU 6! CAPT Dunn took a moment to recognize some of our outstanding civilian staff members for their hard work and dedication. Mr. Huang is one of our phenomenal Industrial Hygeine specialist and was nominated as Civillian of the quarter . Mr. Evangelista is our Logistics Specialist and was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Force Health Protection Command's Civillian of the Quarter! Additionally, former Assistant Officer in Charge CAPT Wagner was presented with a meritorious service medal for his tireless efforts and contributions to our public health mission. Congratulations to all!

Honeymoon Beach, JBPHH, HI. NEPMU 6 Command Holiday Party (06 December 2024). The spirit of the season was in full swing as we gathered with our colleagues, friends, and family for our themed holiday party on the beach! Everyone enjoyed delicious tacos by Straight Out of the Husk catering services, games, and plenty of laughter and cheer. It was a truly a special day, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to celebrate with our incredible NEPMU 6 Ohana. Thank you to our amazing MWR team for making our holiday party a moment to remember. NEPMU 6, JBPHH HI (04 Nov 2024). Navy Surgeon General Rear Admiral Darin Via and BUMED Force Master Chief PatrickPaul Mangaran toured Forward Deployable Preventive Medicine Unit Six and recieved an operational capabilities overview as part of their vsit to medical assets in the INDOPACOM region. During this tour RADM Via emphasized his four lines of effort, which include delivering EXMEDs such as this FDPMU that are manned, trained, equipped, maintained, sustained and certified to support operational forces on every platform. A major focus of the visit was the modernization and improvement of equipment and training available to staff on the FDPMU platform.
