More photos from our PARC members and guests who attended the Texas GOP State Convention for 2026. We had at least 16 PARC members attend this past week! We did not assemble for one big beautiful picture. Let’s assemble in August and take that picture! So proud of you all participating in this process.

Coffee Klatchers met for our fourth “Coffee Klatch” get together. Twenty-seven in attendance today.
Yes, we are growing!

Many are heading to TX State Convention next week. We had a couple of people from Pearland City Council talking with us today, Clint Byrom and Mona Chavarria bringing legislation to our attention.

Drainage Commissioner, Jeff Brennan was also in attendance sharing his thoughts about trying to reduce the impact of Property Appraisals and Taxes.

Also in attendance was SREC for SD 11, Ken Moore. Additionally we had Rob Giesecke Republican running for Brazoria County Judge. Rob was previously the Republican Party of Brazoria County’s Treasurer and also in the active role of Port Freeport Commissioner saving the taxpayers’ money by implementing the (NNR rate)
“no new revenue rate,” but now under his leadership, it has been set to “zero” for the Port at Freeport. 

Thank you to all who participated in the lively discussion. We are building community, finding out more about each other’s strengths. How can we bridge the gap in the upcoming election cycle?

Thank you also to Angelton Women’s Club attendees for coming and listening too. We also had the benefit of Pastor David Reid from Sovereign Grace Church who led our invocation today and prayed at the end for a couple of specific people that were in need of prayer.

I highly encourage people who have concerns about city and state government to attend next month on July 2. Hopefully other officials will be there to help us navigate upcoming Midterm elections in November.

May is National Military Appreciation Month. At our May 14th meeting we were honored to have Greg Daly of VOW 22 as our guest speaker. Vow22 is an organization dedicated to reducing the high su***de rate of our military veterans.

We were very blessed to have the Pearland High School Junior ROTC Color Guard with us on Thursday evening to present The Colors and honor us with a formal flag presentation. These young people did a spectacular service to honor our Military this month of May with this wonderful display.

Our event this year included an outreach organization to veterans who deal with PTSD, depression, suicidal ideation after serving in our US Military. This nonprofit is based in Brazoria County and is called VOW22 and their home-base is in Lake Jackson, TX.

With us for the evening was Greg Daly, the President of VOW22 who explained their services to veterans included counseling and supportive outreach. We appreciate their commitment to helping our veterans in their time of need.

At this meeting we had in attendance a few of our elected officials: District Director Jarad Bargas for Randy Weber, TX-14; Layni Cade Councilwoman for Pearland City Council, and Ken Moore for SREC SD11. Also in attendance was Candidate for First Court of Appeals Pl. 3 Zach Gibson.

In addition, we had in attendance Shawn Coe the Commander of Pearland Memorial VFW Post 7109. We are so appreciative and honored to hold our monthly meetings here. 

This was our last regularly scheduled Thursday night meeting. We will return in August for a fantastic event which we will post soon online so you can make sure to Save the Date! Until then, God bless you and God bless Texas!
