I am deeply disappointed and saddened by the recent comments from Brazoria County Judge Matt Sebesta regarding children with special needs and the constituents he is elected to serve.

Our children with disabilities are not punchlines. They are valued members of our community who deserve dignity and compassion. Every constituent regardless of their background, disability, income, or circumstance deserves to be treated with respect by the people entrusted to represent them.

We can disagree on policy. We can debate budgets and priorities. But we should never lose sight of our humanity.

Special-needs families deserve better. Brazoria County deserves better. Our children deserve leaders who see their worth. We must do better for our children and for one another. ❤️

First day of school is here across PISD! 🍎📚 As the hallways fill with excited (and maybe a few nervous) faces, I’m praying for a safe, successful, and joyful school year for every student, teacher, staff member, and family across our entire district.

To our educators: thank you. Thank you for showing up, pouring into our children, believing in them, challenging them, encouraging them, and helping mold the next generation. What you do reaches far beyond the classroom, and the impact you make will last a lifetime. ❤️

To our students: walk into this year knowing that you are capable, valued, and full of potential. Dream big, work hard, be kind, and never be afraid to ask for help.

Here’s to a GREAT school year! 🎉📚🍎

Hey everyone, I hope you all ae enjoying your summer. I'm popping into share that I've been selected to participate in the ACLU of Texas and Texas Freedom Network's Texas Education Advocacy Series!
I'll be joining advocates from across Texas to learn how to better advocate for strong public schools and the students who rely on them.

I also want to share that you'll start seeing a shift in this page over the next few weeks. I'm going to start to focus on breaking down legislation coming out of Austin, and explaining how the decisions made at the Capitol directly impact our classrooms especially with the 90th legislative session right around the corner.
My goal is to help make all things that will impact public education easier to understand so our community is informed and so we can all effectively advocate for our kids!

As always, I am here to serve you! Have questions or want me to cover a certain topic I am just a message away! Feel free to reach out!

Y’all…🥹 Today we found out my daughter made honors band! It definitely brought us both to tears. Every practice, every moment of hard work and dedication paid off. Baby girl, you are truly something magical, and watching you shine is one of the greatest joys of my life.

So proud of you and all you’ve accomplished. ❤️

I’m back! After a few weeks offline celebrating my 37th birthday, Mother’s Day, and surviving the absolute chaos that is end-of-year school season… I am officially recharged, refreshed, and ready to jump back into keeping y’all updated on all things impact public education and our community! ✏️📚☕️

And with that being said… it’s time to vote again.

No no, calm down — not for me (yet)!

Runoff elections are happening NOW, and early voting started today! Polls are open 7AM–7PM through Friday, so there’s officially no excuse except “I forgot,” and honestly… I just reminded you. 😅

Don’t overlook the SBOE race! The State Board of Education helps decide what Texas students learn, what textbooks are approved, and the direction of public education across the state. Those choices directly impact our classrooms, teachers, and kids every single day. 📚⭐️ Tiffany Perkinz for State Board of Education District 7 has my vote!

I grabbed my sticker this morning, and I expect to see everybody showing off theirs too. Go vote early, vote informed, and go be part of the decisions shaping our schools, cities, and future.

One thing this last campaign taught me is this: our community cares deeply, and I’m excited to keep using this platform to advocate, inform, encourage, and maybe occasionally make y’all laugh along the way. 💙

Now go get your sticker, friends. Democracy looks good on you. 😉

To the 3,454 voters who believed in me, from the bottom of my heart thank you. Truly. You showed up with love, with hope, and with a belief in what we could build together. I will carry that with me forever.
This journey changed me. Every handshake, every hug, every message, every word of encouragement....it all meant more than I can put into words. You didn’t just support a campaign… you lifted me, you inspired me, and you reminded me what community really looks like.

While we didn’t get the outcome we hoped for, I am still incredibly proud. Proud of the conversations we started, the connections we made, and the history we were part of last night.

Congratulations to Mayor Wiltz!

To the place my family and I call home, thank you for embracing me, for challenging me, and for standing beside me. This may be the end of this chapter, but it is not the end of my commitment to this community.
I’ll still be here. Showing up. Smiling. Serving in every way I can.
