My wife Jamie and I would like to give a HUGE shoutout to the City crews that pick up yard waste. We have been clearing the smaller stuff in the wooded area at the back of our lot in Ballantrae ourselves over the last several weekends and have had a pretty big load at the curb for pickup every week for about the past month or so. They have picked it up like clockwork on Fridays between 8:00 and 8:15, and they rake up the small stuff when they're done - most of the time you couldn't even tell anything had been sitting there! I promise, we're almost done! I'm sure our neighbors hope we're almost done too! THANK YOU!
Although the golf course is closed, I was told the mayor is letting Weatherly and Ballantrae residents hang out, picnic, and walk on the course. Please let us know if that is true so more people can make plans to get outside. Thanks.
This bunny was found in South Chandalar at the townhouses around a week ago. Does anyone know who it might belong to?
Since there is a state of emergency is Pelham going to pay retirees insurance?? Especially during this time no one can afford the $1,033.00 it cost retirees each month!
Many thanks to the street crew and Chris Cousins for a prompt response to a street flooding incident in Grey Oaks this morning. Great job!
Hey! A water works truck is by our house and we have a geiser going on at our meter.
Please @CityofHelena @CityofPelham do something about this! This is ridiculous every morning. Takes me 30 minutes to go 2 miles #valleydale #helenaroad #morningcommute

City needs to treat/spray for gnats/flying insects at the Dog Park IMMEDIATELY!!!
This post was from yesterday. Still no word from anyone and the debris is still there all along Bishop Creek. I called the non emergency police line yesterday about this. The officer understood the dangers of the wood in the creek and said he would report it and recommended I follow up today. I have made 22 phone calls, all to voice mails. It is impossible to get a voice on the phone at the City of Pelham. I decided to contact the City of Pelham news. I spoke with Caroline, who then placed me on hold and spoke to Daniel Holmes (the sales manager?) who said they recommend I call the county commissioner. I asked if they would not want to do a story on this since they are the City of Pelham news and should care about the wildlife and beauty of the creek in our city. I get nothing! This is disgusting. I am hopeful the city will come out today to clean up the wood and I am praying they catch the idiots who threw it in the creek on the hottest day to date of this year. #cityofpelham #shelbycounty #wildlife
