Pell City Police Department will host a Community Meet and Greet on June 16 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the new Police Station, located at 305 19th St. S. The event provides an opportunity for residents to engage with the Department’s newly appointed leadership team and see inside the City’s purpose-built, 15,000-square-foot police headquarters.
"Our new command staff, led by Chief Justin Cooper, represents the future of public safety in Pell City, combining decades of expertise and leadership," said Pell City City Manager Tim Kurzejeski. “We’re incredibly fortunate as a community to be able to rely on these individuals to guide this Department forward.”
The newly appointed PCPD leadership team includes:
- Chief of Police Justin Cooper: A dynamic and proven leader, Chief Cooper has served PCPD since 2011 as Interim Chief, Captain, Regional Dive Commander, and SWAT Team Leader. He has successfully driven operational excellence, spearheaded regional relationships, and overseen the department's construction and transition to its new facility.
- Assistant Chief Julie Quigley-Vining: Bringing 27 years of law enforcement experience, Assistant Chief Quigley-Vining joins the department following a progressive career as a Captain with the Birmingham Police Department. She holds a Bachelor of Science from UAB and specializes in data-driven crime reduction and community outreach.
- Lieutenant Vince Warrington: Lieutenant Warrington has more than 30 years of municipal policing experience and has served as a PCPD Lieutenant since 2015. He has overseen multiple core divisions and is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
- Lieutenant Eddie Branham: Lieutenant Branham brings 18 years of law enforcement operations experience, including roles as a PCPD Patrol Sergeant and SWAT Team Leader. He holds a degree in Criminal Justice and served 20 years in the United States Marine Corps.
- Lieutenant Jessie Burgos: Lieutenant Burgos has been a dedicated investigator and school resource officer with PCPD since December 2008. He is a highly decorated investigator and a graduate of the Northeast Alabama Law Enforcement Academy.
