Many of you will know that I’m walking a path right now that I never expected. It’s been an uncertain one and it’s going to be a long journey.
My nephew, Natal, has started a fundraiser for me and my family as I navigate the medical situation I’m currently facing. He wrote the story from his perspective, and I wanted to share it here because I think he tells our story…and what I’m going through right now…better than I ever could.
He and I have shared a pretty special bond for a very long time. I was there for him when he was just a little kid fighting leukemia, and now, years later, he’s the one stepping up for me. That means more to me than I can put into words.
Asking for help is not easy for me. If you’re able to help, thank you sincerely. If you can’t, sharing means just as much.
This community has given me so much over the years, and I’m incredibly grateful to have you all beside me through this chapter.
I’ve spent the past several years telling you guys to keep chasing the adventure. Today I’m telling you to keep chasing for me, until I can continue the chase myself.
