The paradox of being a volunteer firefighter is that while it may seem appealing to ride on the fire truck, many people are unaware that volunteer firefighting is not a lucrative career path. Most individuals in this role do not do it for financial gain, but rather out of love and dedication to their community and its surroundings. Imagine if you were injured while volunteering for the benefit of your community or neighboring areas; navigating the consequences would be challenging. While we acknowledge that accidents can occur and not everything can be anticipated, it's reasonable to expect a certain level of prudence in decision-making, particularly when it comes to activities like burning that pose inherent risks.
