NIOC Pensacola recently welcomed Capt. Jonathan Tighe, Director, Joint Force Headquarters–Cyber (Navy) on July 1st, 2026.

During the visit, Capt. Tighe met with command leadership and teams to discuss the command's mission, ongoing operations, and its vital role in information warfare in support of the Fleet. The visit also provided an opportunity to engage with personnel and recognize the professionalism and dedication of NIOC Pensacola teams.

NIOC Pensacola remains committed to strengthening partnerships and delivering information warfare capabilities to support ongoing operations in support of the Navy and Joint Force.

Throughout the month of April, Sailors from NIOC Pensacola proudly supported Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Month (SAPM) through a series of events dedicated to education, advocacy, and unity.

From interactive trainings and awareness events to open discussions that strengthen trust within our ranks, our team remained committed to fostering a culture of respect, accountability, and support. On February 6, 2026, NIOC Pensacola Sailors were recognized for their outstanding support in training Sailors assigned to Navy Reserve Commander, Tenth Fleet (C10F) Cyber Protection Team (CPT) Pensacola.

The awards were presented by Cmdr. Daniel Avondoglio, Commanding Officer of CPT Pensacola, who commended the Sailors for their technical expertise, mentorship, and commitment to strengthening Total Force integration.

Through hands-on instruction and collaboration, these Sailors enhanced the readiness and operational capability of our Reserve cyber forces, ensuring they remain prepared to defend and deliver in the cyber domain.

Join us in giving a huge Bravo Zulu to CWO3 Gregory Guge, who who we honored with a retirement ceremony January 26th, 2026.

We were honored to bid him farewell at a beautiful ceremony at the National Naval Aviation Museum, with our CO, Cmdr. Donald Moaratty, as the presiding officer.

CWO3 Guge's leadership and expertise have been invaluable to the command. While he will be missed at NIOC Pensacola, we wish him a fantastic and well-earned retirement.

Thank you for your service Warrant, we have the watch!
