At The Madison, we are all in when it comes to opportunities for our community's youth to participate in the arts. It's one of the reasons the new mural on our building states, "The Arts Make A Greater Peoria." Jack's On Adams is a believer in this too, and that's why they are hosting an awesome night of live music and fantastic food to help support the Gerald M. There was a Blockbuster Bash celebrating the Madison Theatre in downtown Peoria with food, drinks, live music and tours of the theatre!

I went and took lots of photos of the celebration and of many of the fine people that came out to support this wonderful and historic downtown theatre.

The Blockbuster Bash for the Madison kicks off TODAY at 11 a.m. (but you can arrive as early as 10:30 a.m.). Get here as soon as you can to reserve your spot for a day full of entertainment and activities you don't want to miss.

We're raising a glass to The Madison ... and you can, too!

Our friends at Obed & Isaac's Microbrewery and Eatery - Peoria tapped the keg on a new beer for the season, The Madison Marzen.

Available now in their restaurant and soon available for purchase in cans, a portion of the proceeds from the sales of this Oktoberfest-style beer will benefit the renovation of our historic theatre block.

Let's drink to The Madison's past, present and future!

We're way too excited about the new community mural that will be revealed during The Blockbuster Bash for the Madison. Installation has started on this work of art that will infuse new energy into our city and we just had to share a little glimpse.
