Today we welcomed William Grant, owner of Sun Collectors and Downtown Rotarian who gave a heartfelt testimonial "Mentors Change Lives Even When They Don't Realize it".

He reminded us that our experiences with others shape how you approach your work.
That mentorship quietly shows up as continual kindness, not always as big gestures. And if successful, moves forward and becomes a legacy when passed on.

His talk was a great reminder that Rotary is mentorship in motion.

This week at Peoria North, we'll hear from Leann Stickel.

She'll be speaking to members about Tri 2 Beat MS an annual kids' triathlon held in Chillicothe this past June. Created to inspire youth fitness and support the local multiple sclerosis community, 100% of its proceeds benefit individuals and resources affected by MS.

The Rookie members are still collecting for the school supply drive.

We often say "Rotary is always there". In this case, Rotary PN was patiently waiting until the time was right to welcome Michelle Weidner as our newest member.

Brent her sponsor, has been encouraging her to join for several years and we are so glad things worked out for her to become a Rotarian.

Michelle is the Executive Director at the Family Justice Resource Center and looking for was to connect in the community.

This week at Peoria North members and guests will be introduced to Braver Angels of West Central Illinois.

This newly established chapter aims to mend our polarized relationships. Disagreements happen, but difficult conversations need to be had and can be worked through. Braver Angels is the nation’s largest cross-partisan, volunteer-led movement to bridge the partisan divide and strengthen our democratic republic.

Rookie Co-Chairs Marie & Heather are assisting new members in hosting our annual School Supply Drive.

From now until Aug. 20th, there will be a collection table at the meetings where you can drop off (K-8) school supplies or donations towards purchases that will benefit The Elise Ford Allen Academy K-8 adopted school students in the next academic year.
