Congratulations to Ava Marie Shannon from Troop 746 on earning her Eagle Scout rank! I joined Delegate Ryan Nawrocki and parents, friends, and other Scouts this afternoon at Ava's ceremony at St. Joseph Church, Fullerton.

Ava's project involved leading a group that made improvements to Perry Hall Swim Club.

She is setting an example and leading the way. Great job!

Last week, my office joined the Woman’s Club of Perry Hall, Inc. In honoring outstanding artists from Perry Hall Middle School. The teachers and families of these students should be proud!

Thank you to my senior legislative assistant Bradley Lang for representing me and Renee Mizelle Streib from the Woman's Club for her leadership in pulling this together.

Another example of the many things - big and small - this volunteer company gets done! Thank you!

We live in a truly beautiful part of Maryland. This morning, I joined a jeep caravan touring historic places such as Waugh United Methodist Church Glen Arm MD, Historic Jerusalem Mill Village, and Cromwell Valley Park.

Waugh United Methodist Church, where "Runaway Bride" was filmed, hosts its annual strawberry festival next week.

I will continue to strongly support preserving our historic places and open space.

Onw of our favorite community events is the summer kickoff sponsored by the Harewood Park Community League.

It was terrific to join this beautiful waterfront neighborhood one last time as its Councilman. Thank you to Essex Middle River Civic Council President Josh Sines and Barbara Sines for joining us tonight.

What a gorgeous night to be on the Gunpowder!

Baltimore County has about 800 farms, and one of the most iconic is the Prigel Family Creamery! This afternoon, the Maryland Department of Agriculture picked this spot for its statewide ice cream tour.

There are about 800 farms in Baltimore County. Many are part of the county's land preservation program, which we have expanded by 14,000 acres during my time as Councilman.

I voted to place Question B on the ballot that will consolidate farm functions under a county agriculture director.

Prigel was a perfect place to help celebrate the start of a season of summer fun and ice cream!

There will be a third--and likely final--community meeting on proposed traffic safety improvements along Honeygo Boulevard near Cross Road. We have consistently supported public input and for the county to study this area as traffic volume increases, particularly as motorists drive south from Harford County.

There are now three options. The latest count shows that the intersection of Honeygo Boulevard and Cross Road qualifies for either a circle or light, and the intersection of Honeygo Boulevard and Gunpowder Farm Road qualifies also for a light, with the current configuration remaining the same at Cross Road.

DPWT is hosting a community open house where residents will have the chance to view traffic improvement options along Honeygo Boulevard in the areas of Cross Road and Gunpowder Farm Road. Attendees will be able to speak with DPWT staff and provide feedback regarding which option they prefer.
