It’s an exciting time at Palmetto Island State Park. Soon the leaves will be changing, transforming the swamp into a kaleidoscope of warm hues - golden yellows, burnt oranges, and fiery reds - and for a brief, fleeting moment, the swamp will be bright, radiant, and alive, before winter's chill sets in and the vibrant colors fade, leaving behind a serene, landscape of evergreen palmettos against the leafless trees.
September often brings whispers of Fall, with hints crisp air and the excitement of events to come, from Labor Day Celebrations, Dutch Oven Gatherings, Halloween celebrations, Thanksgiving feasts and Christmas season socials. As the summer heat begins to fade, the anticipation builds for cozy nights by the campfire, warm sweaters, and all the magical moments that the new season will bring.
