A big thank you to OSF OnCall King Care-A-Van Mobile Healthcare for once again visiting our Peru PADS Homeless Shelter! 💙

Your health screenings provide such an important service for our clients, and having this care available right at the shelter makes a huge difference.

This year, the OSF HealthCare - Illinois Valley Care-A-Van’s visits have been especially meaningful as our Ottawa PADS clients are also staying at the Peru Shelter while we wait for the completion of the new Ottawa PADS Shelter building.

We are so grateful for community partners who come alongside IV PADS to support our clients and help meet their needs. Thank you for being there for our neighbors! 💙

🍽️ Help Us Feed Our Neighbors in Need! 💛

Last season, IV PADS provided 86,193 meals at our Ottawa and Peru homeless shelters — three meals a day for people who needed them most.

This year, we need your help more than ever! 🙌 While construction continues on our new Ottawa PADS building, the Peru Shelter is also housing clients from Ottawa. Your support helps us provide meals for everyone staying with us until the new shelter is completed.

🍽️ Make or serve a meal — individuals, families, churches, and groups are welcome!

🥫 Donate food from a church meal or catered event.

☕ Drop off needed supplies: coffee, sugar, sliced bread, milk, drink mixes, bottled water and paper products.

🏠 IV PADS Shelter Update

Our Peru PADS Shelter is providing shelter for both Peru and Ottawa clients while we wait for the new Ottawa PADS building to be completed.

We currently have 46 people staying at the shelter, including 4 families and 12 children. ❤️

Your donations help us provide meals and daily essentials to those in our care.

IV PADS is thrilled to announce that we have received a generous $50,000 gift from an anonymous donor toward our new Ottawa PADS Shelter building project!

We are incredibly thankful for this generous support and for the many individuals, businesses, churches, and organizations in our community who continue to believe in our mission and help make this new shelter a reality.

🏠 Supporting Independence Beyond Shelter

The IV PADS COAT Team continue to make a difference in the lives of our clients—even after they have found housing.

One of our former clients, who found housing last fall, continues to receive support from COAT. Recently, Bob and Lanie spent time helping him with some cleaning at his apartment. These simple acts of support can make a meaningful difference in helping individuals maintain their housing and independence.

We are so grateful for the COAT (Community Outreach & Aftercare Team) and their commitment to walking alongside our clients as they transition to independent living. ❤️

IV PADS extends our heartfelt gratitude to James Hardie Building Products in Peru for their incredibly generous donation of ALL the siding for our new Ottawa PADS Shelter building.

This remarkable gift is helping bring our vision of a new shelter closer to reality, creating a safe, welcoming place for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in our community. Donations like this make a lasting impact and allow more of our resources to go directly toward serving those in need.

We simply cannot thank James Hardie Building Products enough for their generosity and commitment to helping build brighter futures.
