Today is our fourth birthday! Four years ago, Eric and I set out to find our people, and created the Deviled Eggery based on our shared values of social justice, expressive arts, mental health advocacy, and climate initiatives/sustainable agriculture. Turns out, a lot of people share those values too, and so indeed we found our people. Quirky, edgy, wonderful, interesting, dynamic, creative makers and artists and organizers and providers of all things connected to building community. We had no idea what we were creating, we just knew that this was a special space that we wanted to share. Then you all showed up. Thank you for being a part of our lives.
* Before Eric and I were here, many different families lived here, and before that it was a restaurant and an egg hatching facility and had tens of thousands of chickens. But most importantly, before that, this land was the traditional land of the Coast Miwok.*
Former egg farm, nightclub and art gallery transformed into space serving the community in a variety of ways.
