MarinHealth’s roots in the North Bay run deep. What began in 1952 as Marin General Hospital– a single community hospital built to serve Marin County – has grown for the past seven decades into an integrated, locally owned healthcare enterprise. As we approach our 75th anniversary in 2027, MarinHealth today includes MarinHealth Medical Center in Greenbrae, the MarinHealth Medical Network (which is made up of 66 clinics with primary and specialty care offered across the North Bay), and the MarinHealth Foundation – all united under one name an strengthened by a strategic alliance with UCSF Health. Through every chapter, our mission has stayed the same: providing our communities with world-class, compassionate care closer to home. That commitment is exactly what brought us to Petaluma in December 2024, when we opened the MarinHealth Multispecialty Clinic at 335 S. McDowell Blvd. in the Washington SquareShopping Center. The clinic is a nearly 14,000-square-foot facility with 28 private exam rooms.
Today the clinic offers local families convenient access to primary care and a broad range of
specialties, including cardiology, internal medicine, OB/GYN and midwifery, orthopedics, pediatrics, urology, spine care, and urgent care, along with an on-site imaging center for X-rays, ultrasounds, and cardiac testing – so even more of the care Petaluma residents need is
available without a long commute.
