As many of you know, CBSD Neighbors United was born in 2021 - during one of the most divisive times in our district. And out of that chaos came something powerful: a grassroots movement built by everyday people who refused to sit back and let extremists define our schools and our community.

Our very first slate, which included Diana Leygerman, Tabitha Dell’Angelo, Mariam Mahmud, Jenine Zdanowicz, and Rob Dugger, and their small but mighty team of volunteers created CBSD Neighbors United to fill a void. There was no roadmap, no millionaire donors, no political machine, just a shared belief that our schools, our teachers and staff, our kids, and our community deserved better.

While many of our founders moved on to new roles and ways of serving, a few of us stayed to run the PAC. Together, we helped flip the board in 2023 and completed our mission in 2025 with a 9-0 Dem board. We restored leadership that reflects our community’s values of decency, transparency, and care for public education.

Now, we have made the difficult but proud decision to close our PAC.

We do so with immense pride and gratitude. Over three election cycles, we built something truly special, a community of moms and dads, grandparents and aunts and uncles, students and alums, teachers and staff, neighbors and friends, all fighting for the same thing: a better Central Bucks for all. Together, we proved that you don’t need to be powerful or wealthy to make a difference. You just need to care enough to act.

This work has been deeply rewarding and deeply exhausting. The hours, the pressure, the constant fight takes a toll. But we believe what we’ve built will outlast us. The seeds we planted have taken root, and we know others will grow something new from what we started.

Though CBSD Neighbors United is closing its doors, our spirit isn’t going anywhere. The people behind the name will continue to serve, speak up, and stand for what’s right in our schools and community.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Thank you to every volunteer, donor, and neighbor who believed in us. Thank you to the candidates who allowed us to guide them to victory. You gave this movement life, and together, we made history.

With pride and gratitude,
CBSD Neighbors United

This Pride Month, we want to say to every student, family, educator, and staff member in our district: You belong here. You matter here. You are celebrated here.

We know when a student walks through the doors of one of our schools and sees a Pride flag in a classroom window or a rainbow displayed in a hallway, they feel safe. For a child who may feel invisible at home, in their neighborhood, on a sports team, or even among their friends, that simple symbol can be the difference between feeling utterly alone and feeling seen.

Symbols of support in our schools tell our students this is a place where you do not have to hide who you are. They tell LGBTQ+ students that at least one adult in that building chose, deliberately and visibly, to stand beside them.

And, these symbols matter for straight and cisgender students, too. When young people grow up surrounded by symbols of inclusion, they learn that our differences are something to honor and appreciate. They become the friends and the allies who make our community stronger and our world just a little bit safer.

We are proud to stand alongside the educators, administrators, and every person in our schools who displays these symbols with courage and love, and alongside every family raising children to lead with kindness and bravery.

Happy Pride Month, CBSD!

With love and pride,
CBSD Neighbors United

Since CB graduations are right around the corner, we want to share this commencement address by Dr. Tabitha Dell'Angelo, former CBSD School Board Director and current Dean of The College of Education at TCNJ.

"Don't be afraid to drive change. We all have the power to shape the world around us. Whether it's in your workplace, your community, or even among your friends
and family, your voice matters. Speak up for what you believe in, and don't let fear hold you back."
