Today broke me a little.
Not one euthanasia list.
Multiple.
And on them—newborn puppies. Babies who haven’t even opened their eyes yet.
I sat there staring at the screen, wanting to say yes to all of them. Wanting to make room that doesn’t exist. Wanting to stretch time, money, space, and my own body just a little further. But the truth is—I can’t.
There isn’t room here.
There aren’t enough fosters.
And there isn’t enough money.
That feeling… of knowing they need help right now and still having to say no—it’s the heaviest part of rescue. It feels like my hands are tied, even when my heart is screaming to do more.
This is the reality behind the cute photos. Behind the happy endings. Behind Woof & Willow.
We don’t stop caring when we can’t say yes—we carry those losses with us.
If you’ve ever fostered, donated, shared a post, or even just cared—thank you. This work only happens because of community. And right now, we need it more than ever.
