On Wednesday, September 16th, our team participated in the mobile command post rally at Lehigh University! At this event, local, state, and federal agencies gathered to share information about the resources and capabilities of their command vehicles and participate in training exercises that focused on interoperability and emergency communications.

This was a great opportunity to connect with other public safety agencies in the region and learn about the resources we have available to support our communities in times of emergency.

Today marks the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks committed against our country on September 11th, 2001. Today, the Lower Makefield Garden of Reflection hosted two ceremonies honoring the thousands of lives that were lost and remembering the 18 Bucks County residents who were killed in the attacks. Our team is supporting communications for their evening ceremony to help ensure a smooth, safe event.

This afternoon, members of our team attended the remembrance ceremony hosted by the Bucks County Government at the Bucks County Administration Building in Doylestown, honoring all of the lives lost in the attacks and their aftermath.

We are grateful to stand alongside our community in remembrance and reflection, and we will never forget the innocent lives lost and the courage of the first responders who answered the call on that day.

Please join us in welcoming our newest class of dispatcher trainees! They have been hard at work in classroom training these past few weeks, developing their critical thinking, communication, and technical skills, as well as gaining the experience needed to serve our community with professionalism and care in times of need.

We’re excited to watch them grow into the next generation of Bucks County 911 professionals! Welcome to the team!

Last Thursday, representatives from A Woman's Place, the only domestic violence community benefit organization in Bucks County, visited our Emergency Communications Center. During their visit, they toured our center and met with members of our management team to learn more about one another’s work and discuss their new Crisis Response Program. We also explored opportunities for our organizations to collaborate through the program.

This important service will provide immediate in-person, trauma-informed support and advocacy for survivors of domestic violence to help ensure that no survivor has to face a crisis alone. A Woman’s Place is currently seeking volunteers to support the Crisis Response Program. Thank you to A Woman’s Place for taking the time to visit and for sharing your expertise with us. We look forward to continuing the conversation and working together to better support domestic violence survivors in our community!
