As our students prepare to head back to school, I want to make sure families across our community have the resources they need for a strong start to the year.

Join me and Paragon Home Care this Saturday, August 22, from 12–3 PM at Christy Recreation Center for our Back to School Bookbag Giveaway & Resources Fair.

We’ll have free backpacks, water ice and pretzels for the kids while supplies last. Children must be present with a parent to receive school supplies and bookbags.

The Neighborhood Restorations Town Hall centered the voices of West and Southwest Philadelphia residents who are navigating the realities of our housing crisis every day.

Neighbors, advocates, and community leaders spoke candidly about what affordable housing means in practice, not just in policy. I’m thankful to everyone who contributed their experiences and perspective. That input is essential to shaping solutions that actually reflect and serve our communities.
