On June 6, 1944, American heroes stormed the beaches of Normandy in the largest amphibious assault in history, turning the tide against tyranny in World War II. Exactly 82 years later, we remember the 2,544 brave souls who gave their lives that day so freedom could prevail over N**i oppression. Their courage under relentless fire exemplified the unbreakable American spirit that has defined our nation through its greatest trials.
These young men, many still in their teens and early twenties, left behind families and futures to answer the call of duty. They charged into hell on earth not for conquest, but to liberate a continent and secure liberty for generations yet unborn. Their sacrifice forged the backbone of the free world, reminding us that evil must be confronted with resolve, not wishes or weakness.
Today, as threats to freedom rise both abroad and at home, we honor their memory by recommitting to the principles they died defending—strength, sovereignty, and unyielding patriotism. The Greatest Generation's legacy demands we never forget their blood shed on those windswept shores and that we remain worthy of their immense sacrifice.
