📢 Secure the Border Act Could Worsen Arizona's Prison Crisis 📢
"ADCRR estimates that the Secure the Border Act will cost $252 million for the first five years and $66 million annually thereafter. Arizona prisons will be at 100% capacity by 2027 if enacted. This could lead to a public safety emergency."
The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation, and Reentry is already struggling with issues like inadequate healthcare, malfunctioning locks, and lack of air conditioning. Adding the Secure the Border Act's burdens could push our prison system over the edge. 🚨
