“Running Out Of Time” - ‘There are some people who are convinced that they have all the time in the world and that commitment to God, to have an ongoing relationship with him and to live one's life daily for Him can wait until later. Let me tell you: later is now. It's time, dear friends, for all of us to stop thinking that we have an unending supply of time. We don't. We need to come to the realization that we’re running out of time! We need to stop believing that Jesus will come back someday. He could return right now. This moment. Think about the state of our society, our churches, our homes, our families. Then think about this! No one will ever make Heaven their home unless they've asked Jesus into their heart, accepted Him as their Lord and Savior and believed completely that he is the Son of the Living God! Nothing less than this will do.

“If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.” Romans 10:9. You shall be saved, it says. Maybe? No, not maybe. Could be? No, not could be. Possibly? No, not possibly, but in fact you shall be saved, and that instantaneously, as soon as you accept him into your life. People procrastinate about this, but since it’s an instantaneous event, one that happens literally in the blink of an eye, there’s no need for hesitation. There’s a definite need for action, and that quickly in response to his touching your heart with this: “Come unto me, all of you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28. He’s waiting even now for some to come to him. Will you respond?

"For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God." Romans 14:11-12. Every knee. Not just a few, but everyone will bow. Every tongue shall confess. Not just me and you and not even just those who believe, but everyone. As the old saying goes, ‘You’ve got to get right or get left.’ Left behind, that is. We’ve seen enough to know that the time is short, even shorter than we might believe. The soon return of our Lord is eminent. It’s upon us. It’s so close that it could be right now, this very moment There’s a great day coming for you and me, and responding to the Lord as he draws at our hearts gives us the key to heaven. “The Blood” – ‘Some churches in our present time don’t want to hear about the blood sacrifice that Jesus made for the atonement of sins. They don’t want it mentioned in the sermons or taught in their classes. This is unbelievable! Our entire faith is based on the blood of Christ. Without the blood sacrifice made by Jesus on the cross of Calvary, we have no reason to ever hope for the forgiveness of sins. That blood, shed there on the cross, is the very foundation of our faith. It’s the bedrock of every Christian, and the hope for all mankind. We can’t do without it, so it should be taught, preached, nay, even shouted from the rooftops and proclaimed everywhere! Acts 20:28 tells us, “ He has purchased with his own blood.” Purchased what? The church. The people of the church. You. Me. Everyone. He has purchased the church with his own blood.

His blood shed there was the ultimate sacrifice, made of his own free will because of his love for us. Going further, we see this: “Don’t you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own? For you are bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1st Corinthians 6:19-20. Who paid this price? Jesus. How did he pay it? With his own blood! We’re bought and paid for by his blood! We’re redeemed by his blood; redeemed from our old sinful nature, redeemed from the onslaughts of Satan, redeemed even from our own weaknesses in the flesh. Here are some dictionary meanings of the word, redeemed: it means to ransom, or pay the price for; to recover and restore, as in we’re recovered from sin and restored to a right relationship with Jesus.

It means deliver or liberate, and we’re delivered from the temptations of Satan and liberated, or set free, from our sins! It means to convert, and that’s what happens when we accept Jesus as our Savior, and fulfill, which is God’s fulfillment of his promise to deliver us from sin. We’re converted from our old self into a new life, where we’re washed clean, made whole and so much more! “If we walk in the light, as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son delivers us from all sin.” 1st John 1:7. He delivers us from all sin; not some sin, not a few sins, but all sin! Yet we can’t have any of this without the shed blood of Jesus Christ our Lord. Will we ever stop preaching it? Never! Or stop teaching it? Never! Or stop telling people about it? Never! May we never stop talking about the blood!’ – God bless you and keep you. – In the love of our Lord, Rev. “Learning To Lean” – ‘When we’re weary and worn out, Jesus knows. When we're weak and feeble, He knows. Dear friends, I'm telling you that Jesus really does care about our situations in life. He’s aware of our lives and all that pertain to them and waits patiently for us to call on him for relief. "Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the ever-lasting God, the Creator of all the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His under-standing no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary, and power to the weak." Isaiah 40:28. His comprehension of our need for strength is covered very well in this next verse: "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31. Do you see yourself in this? Have you been touched in your soul today by these words? God knows our weaknesses. Likewise He knows the strengths we need. All we need to do is prayerfully wait on God. He will come through for us!

Trust in him to supply all your needs. He has said He will and believe me, He will! These next few words are from a song that Carol and I love. Let them minister to you. ‘Sometimes life seems life words and music, that can't quite become a song, So we cry inside and we try again, and wonder what could be wrong, But when we turn to the Lord at the end of ourselves, Like we've done a time or two before, We find His truth is the same as it's always been, We will never need more, It's not in trying but in trusting, Not in running but in resting, Not in wondering but in praying, that we find the strength of the Lord.’ We’ll not find the strength we need from the Lord until we stop trying to do everything ourselves and give place to him as the “author and finisher of our faith.” Hebrews 12:2. He’ll increase our faith. He’ll reveal things to us that will encourage our faith. He’ll present opportunities that will prove our faith is not in vain.

Back to our song now: “He's all we need for our every need, We never need be alone, Still He'll let us go if we choose to, To live life on our own, Then the only good that will ever be said, Of the pain we find ourselves in, They are places to gain the wisdom to say, I'll never leave Him again.’ And there we have the lesson to be learned. He’s all we need. We’ll not need anything else. We learn from what we go through and conclude that we’ll never leave him again, for to do so is sheer foolishness. Listen! We have an unending supply of strength from him, yet we continue to do things on our own. The result is we’ll find ourselves failing over and over again. Why do this? Learn to lean on the strength of the Lord. Trust in his strength and not in ours. The song says, ‘Learning to lean, Learning to lean, I’m learning to lean on Jesus, Finding more power than I’ve ever seen, I’m learning to lean on Jesus.’ Yes, may we always lean on the Lord, the source of our strength.
