Cub Scout Pack 73 meets every Thursday at 7:00 - 8:00pm at the Phoenixville Rec Center

03/13/2026

Pack 73 Pinewood Derby night was a huge success. We would like to thank all of the parents and family members that were in attendance. The kids were so excited to show off their cars and test out their speed on the track.

Congratulations are in order for the Cub scouts who emerged victorious. We wish all participants that qualified the best of luck at the upcoming district event.

Pack 73 is ready for the pine wood derby tonight. Check-in will start around 5:45-6 PM.

Mr. Nic & Mr. Chris have the track all set up and ready to go. The food will arrive around 6-6:15 PM. We hope to start the races around 6:30 PM.

Good luck to all of the Cub scouts competing tonight. Stay tuned for some of the coolest looking cars around 😊

Pack 73 had another great weekend at Camp Ware. The weather wasn't ideal but the kids still found ways to have fun and spent most of the weekend outdoors. We started the weekend off with a friendly game of wiffle ball. Then the kids launched their rockets that they built and designed themselves. Afterwards we took a brisk hike along the river trail. The kids also learned the proper way to handle a BB gun and did a little target practice. The evening concluded by the fire with s'mores and dump cake and before we turned in for the night the kids learned the proper way to retire a flag by the fire.

It was a very busy fun filled weekend. This all wouldnt have been possible without our fearless cub master Nic Dicarlo and all of the amazing parents that stepped up and volunteered to help make this weekend an amazing time for the kids. Thank you all and we can't wait for our next adventure.

Pack 73 had a fun and festive night at our annual holiday party. We would like to congratulate all of the cub scouts on their hard earned advancements. The kids had a blast designing ornaments, coloring holiday pictures and eating way too many cookies

We want to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season. We can't wait to see everyone in the new year.

The Thanksgiving food drive organized by Pack 73 was our most successful drive yet, gathering almost 500 pounds of food for Phoenixville Area Community Services.

We are very grateful to all individuals who contributed to and supported this initiative, which benefits our local community.

Additionally, we would like to thank PACS for offering the Cub Scouts a tour of their facility and insight into their operations and the importance of volunteer work.

We hope everyone has a very happy Thanksgiving!

Pack 73 had a very fun (and slightly damp) weekend camping at Valley Forge. The scouts spent the afternoon hiking in Valley Forge national Park. The younger cub scouts hiked along the creek trail, while the older scouts tackled the Mount Misery trail. It was another fun weekend outdoors. A special thank you to Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company for allowing us to use the campsite this weekend and for our dedicated Cub master, Nic DiCarlo, who volunteers so much of his time to plan and organize a fun filled weekend for the kids. We can't wait for our next adventure 🏕️🔥🥾

The lego derby night was a success. The kids had a lot of fun and we were very pleased to see a few new faces that stopped by to check out pack 73. We are looking forward to a fun fall season with the cub scouts.

Pack 73 is hosting our annual Lego derby this Thursday 9/11/2025 at the Phoenixville Rec Center - doors open at 7pm.

All are welcome. Please share with anyone that has children grades K-5 that may be interested in learning more about cub scouts and what our troop has to offer. It is always a fun time and great way to kick off the new school year 🏎️🏁🏕️

Pack 73 had a perfect day out on the water for our annual canoe trip. We had a great turn out and the kids did a great job paddling along the canal and Schuylkill River. The kids had so much fun and even had a chance to abandon ship and float down the river. We want to give a very special thanks to for providing the canoes and to our fearless leader for organizing the trip and inviting everyone to their home. We hope everyone had a great time today.

Pack 73 Blue and Gold Banquet was a great success. Thank you to all of the families that helped contribute and congratulations to all of the cub scouts for advancing to the next ranks especially for the AOL's.

We also want to thank Rep. Paul Friel for stopping by to speak to the cub scouts and sticking around to answer all their questions.

It was a great evening with friends and family. We are excited to see our pack growing each and every year. This all wouldn't be possible without our amazing leader, Cubmaster Nic Dicarlo. Thank you for dedicating so much time and energy to this pack.

Our weekly meetings maybe wrapped up but we will have a few summer activities planned including the annual canoe trip along the Schuylkill River/canal. Stay tuned for more information

Pack 73 had a beautiful weekend at Camp John H. Ware. The cub scouts spent almost the entire weekend outdoors playing, hiking, shooting, cooking and doing skits by the fire.

A special thank you to scout leader Mike and his son William for making the trip down to open the shooting range and go over gun safety with the cub scouts. We had a lot of first time shooters this year and they did fantastic. We even had quite a few bull's-eye. The cub scouts also had the opportunity to witness a flag retirement ceremony last night by the fire.

This weekend would not be possible if it weren't for all of the help from the parents/grandparents and our amazing cub scout leader, Nic Dicarlo! Thank you for your dedication and taking the time to plan/prep this weekend. There is a lot of hard work behind the scenes to make this weekend possible. We really appreciate all the support. We have a great group of kids and love to see them learning, growing and having so much fun together.
