πŸ“’ Open Letter to the Graffiti Artist of the Delco Shack 🎨

To the creative soul who left their mark on the side of our beloved Delco shack,

Firstly, I want to acknowledge the spirit of expression that graffiti embodies. Art, in all its forms, holds a significant place in our community. However, I must share the unintended consequences of your canvas choice.

The Delco shack, as rustic and inviting as it might seem for an artistic endeavor, is currently without running water. The effort to remove your work took me between three to four hours, armed with only a towel and graffiti remover. I assure you, it was far from a fun day.

So, I kindly ask, before you consider turning the shack's sides into a mural once more, could we wait until the building has running water? This would make the cleanup far less daunting for those of us who tend to the shack.

Art is a dialogue, and I hope this message is received in the constructive spirit it's intended. Let's keep making our world colorful, but also considerate.

Thank you for hearing me out.

πŸŽ‰ Good news from Springfield Township! 🏘️ The Delco Shack's citation for not meeting building codes has been dropped! We're almost there – just a fresh coat of paint and graffiti removal left. Out of goodwill, I've also removed our previous Facebook post about the citation.

The future's looking bright! 🌟 In a few days, I'll share the township-approved plans from years ago. But there's more work to be done, and I'm on the lookout for skilled professionals – architects, excavators, contractors, you name it!

Here's a sweet deal πŸ› οΈ: any contractor taking on this project gets to showcase their sign to the 100k daily drivers on the road, as per township code. Think of the exposure!

Interested in being part of this exciting journey? Drop me a message, and I'll send over the plans. Your support means the world 🌍, and I'm eager to see who will join this transformative project. Stay tuned and thanks for being part of our community!

If you were wondering what renovations to get the Delco Shack up to "code" Here is a before and after. 1) The Roof was replaced 2) Roof deck was repaired 3) The top molding was repaired on all four sides 4) We painted the top molding, concrete base, and door 5)Put new plywood over the existing security screens 6)Added grills 7)Picked up the trash. From here, I am investigating finding contractors and getting pricing to make it usable. It might be expensive and I may have to do it in stages.

"Owning the shack has been a challenging experience, especially over the past year. During this time, I've received numerous threatening letters from the township regarding my ownership of the property. In response, I decided to seek legal representation and have been engaged in a year-long battle with them.

I've been committed to maintaining transparency and open communication with the township throughout this process. However, it's disheartening to note that the communication from the township office has been consistently subpar. They have not responded to any of my emails, ignored my phone calls, yet they have not hesitated to send intimidating letters to my home.

It's important to understand that the previous owner held the property for 10-15 years and made no significant improvements. I believe it's crucial to share one of these threatening letters with you, along with the subsequent conversations, to shed light on the challenges I've faced. Together, we can explore the need for improved communication and work towards resolving these issues for the betterment of our community."
