Elk River Backpack Blessings Working to decrease the burden of childhood hunger in the Elk Valley by providing weekend food bags.

Food insecurity is unfortunately a very real concern for many children right here in our area. Elk River Backpack Blessings is a non profit that it working to eliminate this concern by providing food bags to students in need at our 12 partner schools in Kanawha and Clay Counties. We have also partnered with the Kanawha County Library to make bags accessible to students who are e-learning, homebou

nd and homeschooling. It is our belief that no child should have to worry about where their next meal is coming from. Through donations and private donors we have also provided clothing, coats, hats, scarves, gloves, shoes, boots, school supplies to students.
