Amador Fire Safe Council The Amador Fire Safe Council (AFSC) is a nonprofit organization in Amador County California with a mission to protect people and land from wildfire.

The mission of the Amador Fire Safe Council (AFSC) is to protect the people of Amador County and their properties from the catastrophic effects of wildfire through education, outreach, innovation, and action. Formed in 2002, the Amador Fire Safe Council is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a volunteer board composed of local residents and stakeholders. We are active in the community and invest thousands of hours every year to benefit our neighbors.

ARCD is excited to announce our Defensible Space Assistance Program Application period is opening tomorrow at 8 AM!

This assistance program is first-come-first-serve as we have limited funding. Assistance is also for Amador County residents that fall at least into 1 of 4 eligibility classes (folks with disabilities, seniors, low-income, and/or veterans).
