Once a soldier, always a soldier. I have consistently stepped up to help our country when it is in harm's way.

When you vote for me tonight for PCDEC Chair, you're voting to protect the voices and livelihoods of all Pinellas County residents.

Cultural differences can significantly complicate all types of conflict, including personal, legal, and political. Throughout my career, I have strived to problem solve while preserving cultural respect and honest communication among all stakeholders.

When I am elected as PCDEC Chair, I will ensure our voter registration and education outreach efforts are given the attention and resources they deserve.

I’ve volunteered on Democratic campaigns consistently since McGovern’s 1972 Presidential bid. In 2020, I served as a poll watcher at over 20 early and election day voting sites. I believe that voting is a citizen’s most impactful action and most vulnerable right. Here in Pinellas, Democrats carried the county during the 2020 presidential election by only 1,240 votes.

There’s a significant reason all 67 County Supervisors of Elections are against these State House and Senate bills to limit vote-by-mail registration and drop-off boxes, and to allow unlimited challenging of a ballot's validity. The bills are blatantly unjust and highly concerning.

We should be making voting easier, not harder, for our ALL of our citizens. That much should be a non-partisan point of agreement. There is not a voter fraud problem. There is a voter disenfranchisement problem.

As state legislators move toward restricting mail voting in Florida, it seems fitting to take stock of how it’s going in the Sunshine State’s mail voting capitol, Pinellas County. Nowhere is mail voting so embraced by voters of all parties than Pinellas, where more than 60 percent of all ballots...

The power of education is extraordinary.

I am privileged to have shared my time and expertise with a wide range of students over the course of my career. Through my community volunteer work with the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Florida, I hope to foster growth of the next generation of professionals. As a community, we must support our educators and students to ensure all have access to a safe and equitable learning environment.

I am keenly aware of the inherent dangers we face in Pinellas County as a coastal community. Natural disasters like hurricanes are a part of our lives, and the risk is only increasing with climate change. In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, I assisted to develop a supplementary program to Operation Golden Phoenix, a disaster training event. I applied my unique skillset to improve disaster recovery techniques to meet the unique and specific needs of children and families. I believe a strong community is one that is capable of protecting it’s most vulnerable citizens. I pledge to work towards that same goal as PCDEC Chair.

In November of 2000, a 5-year-old US Citizen was abducted by his mother and spirited away to Cuba. The child’s father needed help, so he hired me. The boy was back home on American soil in less than a year.

This is just one of the many international child abduction cases I've won during my storied legal career. I'm a professional negotiator and I never back down from a challenge. With your support, I am prepared to employ that same professional skillset and heart-driven dedication when I am elected as Pinellas County Democratic Executive Committee Chair this Monday, March 29.
