Working in emergency services teaches you quickly that preparation matters. Small towns have to be ready for emergencies, difficult winters, wildfires, and economic challenges before they happen.

Families plan ahead every day. I believe local government should do the same.

What are your biggest priorities for the Town?

A lot of my priorities for the Town come down to getting back to the basics and thinking long term.

I want Pinetop-Lakeside to stay financially stable. I want our roads, parks, sidewalks, and public spaces cared for. I want residents to feel safe, supported, and heard.

Working in emergency services teaches you quickly that preparation matters. Waiting until there’s a crisis is usually the hardest and most expensive way to solve problems.

I believe local government works the same way.

And honestly, I’d like to see our community feel more connected again. We don’t all have to agree on everything to work together.

People ask why I’m running for mayor.

Honestly, it’s because I care deeply about this community and where it’s headed.
My wife was born and raised here. We raised our family here, built a small business here, and now we’re watching our kids try to build their futures here too.
When you live, work, serve, and raise a family in a community, you experience the same challenges many residents face every day.
I’m running because I believe we can keep moving Pinetop-Lakeside forward without losing what makes it special in the first place.

I don’t want Pinetop-Lakeside to lose what makes people love living here.

That means protecting the small-town feel, supporting local businesses, maintaining our parks and public spaces, and making sure future generations can still recognize the community we all care about.

Growth is happening. The question is whether we guide it thoughtfully while still preserving the character and connection that make this Town special.

Today is the official day of remembrance for those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service and protection of their country.

While many of us spend this long weekend with family and friends, it is important to remember the families who are unable to celebrate with all of their loved ones because of that sacrifice.

Even though today is the official day of remembrance, those who made the ultimate sacrifice live on in our hearts, minds, and prayers every day. Their legacy endures, just as the freedoms they fought for endure.

Thank you for your sacrifice.
Thank you for your service.
Thank you for protecting our freedoms and the freedoms of others.

Today we honor those who never made it home.

Congratulations to the Blue Ridge High School Class of 2026!

It was great to see these young men and women excited, and probably a little scared, about what their future holds. I wish all of them the very best as they begin the next chapter of their lives.

Attending graduation also made me reflect on where these graduates will go and what they will become. They have invested all, or most, of their childhood in this community, and this community has invested heavily in them through time, relationships, coaching, education, faith, mentorship, and countless other ways.

Some of these young adults will leave on missions. Some will go to college. Some will enter the workforce and begin serving the community in their own way. Some will serve our country. Some may simply want to leave and experience life in a bigger city.

But no matter what path they choose, they should always have the opportunity to build a meaningful life right here in this community if they want to.

I hope to contribute to making that possible, creating opportunities for young people to have good careers here, afford a home here, raise a family here, and continue contributing to the same community that invested so much in them. In turn, they can help guide and support the next generation just as others did for them.

Not all of them will choose that path, and that’s okay. But it should always remain a strong and realistic option for those who do.

Yesterday I joined others in helping clean up highway 260 through town.

Sometimes serving your community is not about meetings, speeches, or policy decisions. Sometimes it is simply about showing up and doing the work that needs to be done. Taking pride in our town means being willing to roll up our sleeves and help keep Pinetop-Lakeside clean, welcoming, and beautiful for everyone who lives here and visits here.

A huge thank you to the Pinetop-Lakeside Chamber of Commerce, town staff, the Pinetop-Lakeside Police Department, and the Rotary Club of the White Mountains for working together to help keep our community looking its best.

It is always great to see different organizations, volunteers, and community members coming together with pride for the town we all call home.
