Pinole Dumpster Day will be held on Saturday, October 9 , 2021 from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Pinole Valley Park, near the baseball field. Pinole residents only, please bring proof of residency. Residents must unload their items and service is limited to one vehicle per household. The event will end earlier if dumpsters are FULL. For additional information please see flyer or call (510) 724-9062.

ACCEPTED: household items, glass, clothing, metal, chairs, tables, couches, small appliances, broken toys, rugs/padding, wood, dishwashers, washers & dryers, refrigerators, ovens/stoves, microwave.

NOT ACCEPTED: No box springs. No mattresses. No green waste or yard waste. No tires. No concrete or construction waste. No household hazardous waste (such as paint, oil, bug spray, oven cleaner, propane tanks, oil, prescription medicine, needles, syringes). No car batteries. No electronic waste (no TVs, no computers, no screens, no cell phones, vacuums, treadmills, etc.) Take household hazardous waste to 101 Pittsburg Avenue Richmond, Wed.—Sat. 9am to 4pm.

This family-friendly, fun-filled day will also have live music, dancing, local vendors, and more! The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano County will be providing free boxes of nonperishable food and bags of fresh produce every second Monday of the month. The next drive-thru distribution is Monday, September 13th from 9 AM to 11 AM (or as supplies last) at the Pinole Senior Center parking lot, 2500 Charles Ave. You do NOT need to be a member of the Pinole Senior Center or a senior to receive food. Quantities are limited. First come first serve. One box and/or bag per household. This will be a contact-less event, please follow the directions from staff and volunteers when you arrive. Food items will be placed in the trunk by staff/volunteers. Parking or exiting your vehicle will not be allowed. If you have any questions, contact the Senior Center Recreation Coordinator at [email protected] or call the Front Desk at (510) 724-9800.

Health Order Requiring All People to Wear Masks in Indoor Public Settings

In order to slow the spread of the more contagious Delta variant of COVID-19, all people, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear face coverings in public indoor settings in in Contra Costa County until further notice, beginning August 3, 2021 at 12:01 a.m. Public settings include but are not limited to business offices, retail stores, restaurants, theaters, family entertainment centers, meeting rooms and State and local government facilities where services are provided to the public. The City of Pinole Coastal Cleanup event will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon at Bayfront Park (onsite registration begins at 8:30 a.m.). Come help beautify Pinole and help the environment. Great opportunity to complete community service hours. Please bring bucket, gloves and wear work clothing. Face masks may be required, dependent on County guidelines. For more information call (510) 724-9062 or email [email protected]

Contra Costa Brings Mobile COVID-19 Vaccine Service to Businesses, Organizations

Businesses and community organizations in Contra Costa can now request visits from Contra Costa Health Services’ (CCHS) mobile COVID-19 vaccination van to workplaces, community centers and other locations where five or more members of a group want to receive vaccine.

The free mobile vaccination service begins today. Any business or organization can request a mobile vaccination clinic using an online form if they are in the county and CCHS will send a mobile health van to provide free vaccinations on site within one week after completing the request.

June 2, 2021: County-run COVID-19 vaccination clinics on school campuses this summer will now also offer no-cost immunizations for tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (Tdap) upon request.
