I’m thrilled to announce that AGEWELL at the JCC South Hills was awarded $113,150 in funding to modernize facilities, provide new health and entertainment programs, upgrade technology, and enhance nutrition services. This grant ensures older Pennsylvanians stay safe, healthy, and connected to their communities. I want to thank the Department of Aging and Governor Shapiro for recognizing the needs of the facility and securing this funding.

Great meeting with the PA Realtor Association yesterday! Their 2026 Legislative Agenda includes House Bill 1095, which limits public access to certain eviction records under specific circumstances, such as when a tenant was not at fault or after seven years. This legislation promotes fairness while preserving accountability, supports housing stability and workforce mobility, and brings in line with bankruptcies and mortgage defaults.

Had a great meeting with members of Pennsylvania United yesterday. This organization works to fix the affordability crisis by supporting legislation to raise revenue that can be used to invest in ALL Pennsylvanians. That includes legislation to close the Delaware Loophole, tax digital ads, and tax Pennsylvania billionaires. The goal is to use the revenue towards funding healthcare, providing home repair assistance, improving public transit, and funding programs needed to supplement federal cuts.

I was sorry to hear that Heidelberg Borough Police Chief Dennis Dixon passed away unexpectedly on Monday May 18. Chief Dixon served Heidelberg for nearly 20 years. His impact and service to the community will never be forgotten. My thoughts are with his family, his fellow officers, and the people he served.

Today we celebrate the incredible women who have helped to shape our lives. I only wish we had more time with my mother who passed away many years ago, but am grateful for such great memories of growing up.
I’m beyond blessed to have an amazing wife and partner in raising our 4 kids. Kelly has constantly put her family’s needs before her own and has been an incredible role model for the kids. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY
