Bethel Park School District's Music Department composed an original song, "Come Together As One," to commemorate the 2026 opening of Bethel Park Elementary School, celebrating community pride, honoring the history of 10 former elementary schools and incorporating a nod to Beethoven's "Ode to Joy." The song made its live debut at the fourth-grade chorus concert on March 26, 2026, performed by all district fourth graders on the high school stage for the 17th consecutive year. Beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, all elementary students will learn and perform the song as a symbol of unity, with rising fifth graders taking a leadership role in guiding younger students at school events.

Bethel Park School District's athletic programs will offer youth summer camps across more than a dozen sports from June through August 2026, giving young athletes the opportunity to train with Black Hawks coaches before the upcoming season.

Camps are scheduled in football, soccer, tennis, volleyball, wrestling, basketball, swimming, lacrosse, golf, rifle, track and field, and cheer, with baseball, flag football, and cross country dates to be announced.

Bethel Park Junior Football, a nonprofit organization with more than 60 years of youth football tradition, is seeking business sponsors for the upcoming season.

Sponsorship funds support league operations including officials, paramedics, insurance, uniforms, equipment and field lighting.

Platinum-level sponsorships are available and offer the highest level of marketing exposure for participating businesses.

The program is volunteer-led by coaches, parents and a dedicated board of directors. Its mission focuses on developing football skills while building character, community involvement and positive values in youth.

Bethel Park alumnus Justin Meis, a 26-year-old right-hander currently pitching for the Pittsburgh Pirates’ Triple-A affiliate in Indianapolis, is drawing calls to be promoted to the major leagues after posting a 3.00 ERA and holding opponents to a .149 batting average this season.

A 10th-round draft pick out of Eastern Michigan in 2021, Meis has struck out 27 batters in 30 innings this season and allowed just one run over his last eight outings covering 10.1 innings. 

Should the Pirates call him up, Meis ‘18 would join fellow Bethel Park product Mason Miller — now a standout reliever in the majors — as the second player from this community to make an impact in a big league bullpen in recent years.

Bethel Park High School held its 117th Commencement ceremony on June 4, celebrating the graduation of 339 seniors under a warm summer evening sky, with valedictorian Caroline Zelt and salutatorian Charlotte Gaston among the ceremony's featured speakers. Six students were honored through the National Merit Program, and more than 80 graduates were recognized as members of the National Honor Society.
