Thomas Jefferson High School Announces Five National Merit Commended Students
Thomas Jefferson High School Principal Pete Murphy is proud to announce that five TJHS seniors have been named Commended Students in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Congratulations to:
Sarah Greenblatt
Jessica Mutmansky
Neerzara Neopany
Logan Thomas
Felix Zheng
“We are incredibly proud of these students for their hard work, academic achievement, and dedication to excellence,” said Murphy. “Being named a National Merit Commended Student is an outstanding accomplishment and a reflection of the commitment these students have demonstrated throughout their academic careers.”
Commended Students are recognized for their exceptional performance on the 2025 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Approximately 50,000 students nationwide receive recognition in the National Merit Scholarship Program each year.
While Commended Students do not continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, their recognition represents a significant academic achievement and identifies them among the nation’s highest-performing students.
Congratulations to Sarah, Jessica, Neerzara, Logan, and Felix on this outstanding national recognition!
