The Former Pittsfield Public School's Parent Child Home Program A Proven Beginning for School Success in Pittsfield, Ma from 1970 to 2015. The premise of this program is simple.

For 45 years, Pittsfield Public Schools, using Title I and state CFCE funds, offered the Parent-Child Home Program to eligible Pittsfield families. Over the years, several longevity studies proved that results of this program were effective and long lasting. Pittsfield's research was used by programs across the United States to receive funding to replicate the Pittsfield PCHP. Parents are the firs

t and most important teachers of their children. PCHP gives parents the tools and skills needed to start their child on the path to a successful education. Sadly, Pittsfield Public Schools made the choice to cease funding its PCHP in the spring of 2015. However, the spirit of this program lives on and we have decided to continue with our page, where we will continue to post free or low cost activities the families of Berkshire County.

It is with extreme sadness that we share on this page the passing of our beloved Roseanne. She was a light in so many lives here in our community. She believed in this program with all of her heart. She was a wonderful friend, teacher and mentor to so many. He loss is felt, but her spirit will live on in all the people she touched. Rest in heavenly peace Miss Roseanne, Godspeed ❤️ until we meet again.
