Sanchez Charities Announces Major Collaboration: Collin County NeighborHub

Sanchez Charities and Catholic Charities Dallas are proud to collaborate on the development of the Collin County NeighborHub, a new community resource center coming to McKinney, Texas.

Located at 1820 White Street, near Redbud Boulevard, this expanded 3-acre campus will feature a 35,000–45,000 sq. ft. two-story facility designed to bring critical services together under one roof. The NeighborHub will focus on homeless prevention, resource advocacy, and coordinated social services through a unified network of mission-driven nonprofits.

The facility will include food storage and preparation space, Streetside Showers, and centralized waiting and service areas to better support individuals and families in need.

Anchor partners operating within the hub will include One Heart McKinney, Streetside Showers, Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors, and Catholic Charities Dallas.

The project recently received final zoning approval from the McKinney City Council in December 2025 and is supported by more than $1.7 million in development grants from the McKinney Community Development Corporation.

Together, this collaboration represents a major step forward in expanding access to essential services and strengthening support for the Collin County community.

When households face high housing costs, they may have to choose between paying rent and buying groceries. This “rent eats first” dynamic can push people into homelessness if they cannot afford shelter (MoveForHunger.Org). Food insecurity also depletes household resources, leaving less money for other essentials, which can make it harder to maintain stable housing (FRAC.Org). Studies show that food-insecure families are more likely to experience housing instability over time, and vice versa (TodaysDietitian.Com)
