Hello! It's Carie here (NTWXC Intake Coordinator) hijacking the page to share something cool.

Yesterday, I trained a new volunteer who will soon be helping us answer the intake line. She asked me how long I've been doing this and I said, "About two years? I think?"

Look what popped up in my Facebook memories today. 😍 It turns out I was training our new team member two years to the DAY from when I was trained.

I'm so proud of the work I do for NTXWC and so honored to now be helping our team grow.

Tails from the Road 🚑: Dallas, Little Elm, Allen, Carrollton

The number of baby squirrels and young kites that need our help has our team hustling back and forth across DFW. We've had some heartbreak over the last few days as we couldn't get to two of them before the intense heat took its toll. Here are some sweet babies who are now safe at NTXWC. Thank you to Mo, Brie, Mady and Kim for several squirrel and kite transports!

When its possible, please help injured or orphaned wildlife by moving them out of the heat. Secured in a box indoors is always best.
