Programs and Special Events Seminars/Workshops The club sponsors business and development workshops and health seminars Founder's Day Founder Day recognizes the individuals who created our organization while awarding the Sojourner Truth award to an outstanding African American woman. This is the highest award given by the Association and is presented locally. Vocal Arts Our vocal arts competition is known as the Vocal Arts Competition for Emerging Artists. The competition is designed to recognize young, black classical vocalists through a performance venue and scholarships. The competition begins locally and concludes at the National Convention. Women's History In 1966, the Convention adopted the Women's History program as the national project to focus on the contributions of African American women who are instrumental in advancing education, business, technology, family, and community. Collaboration We have a strong commitment to working with organizations dedicated to improving our communities. Our focus is to develop opportunities to maximize efforts, leverage resources, and promote community empowerment and self-sufficiency.
