Scammers are calling claiming to be an employee of the Platte County Missouri Sheriff's Office, telling people there's a warrant for their arrest. Some of the names they use are real and others are fake. Some of the scammers are now telling their potential victims to meet them in our parking lot to pay for a warrant that doesn't exist.

• The Platte County Sheriff's Office NEVER calls people to tell them they have a warrant and demand payment.
• If you receive a call like this - HANG UP.
• You can go online and look yourself up on the Missouri Courts website to see if there's a warrant: https://www.courts.mo.gov/casenet/
