05/06/2026
Dear Members:
Thank you all for making our recent meet and greet a memorable experience. Despite the chilly wind, the event was truly special thanks to the delicious food, the welcoming atmosphere, and, most importantly, the wonderful sense of friendship shared by everyone present.
Board and Committee Communication
The East Tennessee Gleaners Co-op (ETGC) board and committee members are diligently working to advance the organization’s mission. As the 2026 planting, growing, and harvesting season approaches, we will keep you informed of our progress and needs through email and our page. Your feedback and support are vital, and we invite you to reach out with any questions, concerns, or suggestions at [email protected].
Current Requests from the Board
We are asking for your assistance in two important areas:
Communication Team Leaders Needed
We are seeking eight members who possess strong communication skills to help manage a communication distribution list. This list will be used to quickly share time-sensitive information with members—such as announcements about short-notice gleaning opportunities or class cancellations. Each of the eight team leaders will receive a script and will be responsible for contacting approximately ten members by phone. If you are interested in serving as a team leader, please reply directly to this email (do not use “reply to all”).
Member Survey Participation
We have developed a brief, anonymous survey and request that every member or family unit complete it. Your responses will help us better serve the needs of our membership. The survey is quick to complete and your participation is greatly appreciated. The link to the survey is here: https://forms.gle/fofjD1DhKy2sagQC8
Looking Ahead to the Season
We are pleased with how this year has started and excited for the opportunities that lie ahead. As the new season unfolds, we look forward to working together, building on our momentum, and continuing to strengthen our membership through shared efforts and meaningful engagement.
Sincerely,
ETGC
